CAT’S NOSE – Many cat owners have noticed that the nose of our furry pets can change color and turn from light pink to predominantly tamoros. What does this mean and should you be concerned?
Veterinarians explain that the color of the nose in cats changes depending on the temperature, but also the mood. It’s actually about the fact that the nose is rich in blood vessels. Therefore, in the cold, the nose will be lighter in color, while in the warm, due to the expansion of blood vessels, the nose will be darker.
The color change happens for the same reason when there is an increase in the number of heart beats, which can be when the cats are excited during the game or when, say, they get scared. If the color of the nose soon returns to soft pink, there is no reason to worry.
