One Siamese cat is currently the oldest living cat in the world. Grandma Vad is 34 years old, which translates to about 160 “cat years”.
Her owner Vana Kodkaris adopted her at the age of 25 when she found her in a Thai province as a kitten. Grandma Wad was born in 1987, by a stray cat and since then, as the owner claims, the two of them have been inseparable.

As Vana claims, as a young cat, Grandma Vad was very energetic, constantly active and loved to chase around orchards as well as chase reptiles and snakes. So far, this cat has been very healthy, with no serious physical illnesses except for one incident where dogs bit her hind paws. Grandma Vad has recovered from the incident and is currently in good health, except that, as her owner claims, she has become a bit forgetful.
Before Grandma Van, according to the Guinness Book of Records, the title of the oldest cat in the world was held by the cat Creme Puff from Texas, who passed away at the age of 38.
