Dog training is a process that should not be an “obligation” for you or your dog. Perhaps the best option is to make it an integral part of spending time with your pet. This is the 1st and most important tip.

    2. The commands you use are important. So, before you teach your dog, make sure you are satisfied with the word you wish to use for the specific command.

    3. During training, use a treat, especially in the initial stages, to keep the dog focused and motivated.

    4. The time you set aside for training should be fun and should not last long. Many think that in persistent constant repetition, results are certainly achieved, but this is actually a mistake because the dog loses the will and interest to learn. It is more efficient to set aside 10 to 15 minutes for training every day.

    5. You need to train your dog in a variety of environments. He needs to get used to training among other people and dogs, in order to be obedient and well socialised in all circumstances later.

    6. In addition to voice commands, teach your pet to respond to hand gestures. This way you will be able to communicate with movement in situations when there is noise or greater distance or while you are communicating with someone else. When a dog learns to follow your movements, he becomes better focused on you in all situations because he follows you more often.

    7. Don’t use the word “NO” because there is no reward after that word. Use other words, such as “yuck”, “wait”, “down”, and then a positive command such as “come” and “sit” with the obligatory praise.
