When a worker from a garbage collection factory in Russia saved a cat from certain death, he could not have guessed how much it would change the lives of both him and the cat.
Surveillance camera footage in the factory showed worker Mihail Tukaš removing a plastic bag from the conveyor belt and finding a black and white cat in it. This video of the rescue was broadcast on television as wall as on social networks, which made this man a local star.
As for the cat, he was adopted by the regional environment ministry in Ulyanovsk and given the “position” of deputy environment minister. The cat was found in the extremely poor condition, but after an examination by a veterinarian, it was determined that he was generally in good health.
The cat is now enjoying the ministerial chair, and the ministry named this, now happy black and white cat, Kite through a national competition for choosing a name.
