Research has shown that humans and chimpanzees share as much as 98.8% of DNA and although these 1.2 make a big difference, there are many things in the behaviour of these primates that make them so similar to humans.
PERSONALITY
Chimpanzees possess some personality traits that we believed only we had. They show jealousy, friendliness, courage, stubbornness. Experts in this field claim that they have 41 personality characteristics, and they share as much as 60% of them with humans.

GENETICS
In addition to many similar genes owned by both humans and chimpanzees, both primate species have the OPN1LW gene. This gene allows us to see red.
GESTICULATION
Experts conducted research a few years ago in which it was shown that chimpanzees, bonobo monkeys and children show similarity in expression. Chimpanzee hand movements are not just random movements, but clear gestures.

LAUGHTER
The most beautiful resemblance that chimpanzees and humans have is laughter. Emory University primatologist Frans de Val said that the most humane behaviour of primates is laughter during tickling. It is not just about sound production, but also about facial expression which is very similar.
