A CITY FOR STRAY CATS – The world’s first city for stray cats was built in Turkey, more precisely in Istanbul. This unique project is called Miniaturk.
This small town / park is modeled on some of the historic buildings in Turkey only of course in mini form. Cat City has become a real tourist sensation because visitors have a really unusual experience when they see a large number of cats that freely enter and exit these model buildings because they look as big as monsters in front of them – said the project director.
The Miniaturk attracts the attention of both adults and children, and covers an area of about 60,000 square meters, and contains more than 100 edifices modeled on historic buildings. The city is open to visitors every day from 9 am to 7 pm, with a ticket price of about 2.5 euros. Of course, this city was not originally intended for cats, but as Turkey is known as a country extremely fond of cats, it is not surprising that they decided on a move to allow free movement of cats within this complex.
