Now ninety-year-old Wally Connor, a dog breeder from Australia, created the Labradoodle dog breed in 1989, to meet the specific needs of a pair from Hawaii.
The wife needed a guide dog for blind people, and the husband was allergic to long coat typical for service dogs, such as Labradors. His solution was a cross between a Poodle and a Labrador breed. Since this cross, it has become a trend in the world to make cute new breeds by crossing poodles with “inappropriate” breeds, which endangers the health of dogs.
Many mixed breeds, including the Labradoodle breed, are susceptible to numerous inherited diseases, which makes life difficult for both them and their owners.
