DOG IQ TEST – Pets bring joy to each of our days, and every owner will say that his furry friend is too smart. If you want to check the IQ of your dog, there is a way to do that, reports Infobrif magazine.
You can do this with a stopwatch and a few interesting games that you can read more about below.
GAME 1
Let the dog smell a large towel or thin blanket. Then cover him with it, covering his head as well. Measure how long it takes him to get free.
- up to 30 seconds – 3 points
- from 31 to 120 seconds – 2 points
- more than 120 seconds – 1 point
- not trying to break free – 0 points (+ be sure to help the dog break free)
GAME 2
Show the dog his favorite treat. While the dog is watching her, lower her to the floor and cover her with a towel. Measure how long it takes the dog to get to the first delicious bite:
- up to 30 seconds – 3 points
- from 31 to 60 seconds – 2 points
- more than 60 seconds – 1 point
- not trying – 0 points
GAME 3
Repeat the steps from the previous game, only that you will place the treat in a place where the dog cannot reach with its snout, but only with its paws. Measure how long it takes the dog to get to the first delicious bite:
- up to 2 minutes – 4 points
- up to 3 minutes – 3 points
- more than 3 minutes, with the use of paws – 2 points
- the dog uses only the muzzle – 1 point
- not trying – 0 points
GAME 4
Place the granules on the floor and cover them with an opaque plastic cup. Move the glass and lift it 8 to 10 times, so that the dog understands that the granules move together with the glass. Then bring 2 more plastic cups. When you have 3 glasses, put the granules under one of them, so that the dog can see which one it is.
Take the dog out of the room for 30 seconds, then go back and tell him to find the pellets.

- fails – 0 points
- Scores of 4 to 8 points determine the average. You can consider everything above that an extremely great success of your dog and a confirmation of his intelligence.
