CAT OWNERS LIVE LONGER – Scientists have tried to determine whether there is a difference and whether the choice of a pet affects our longevity.
By analyzing data from 4,500 men and women, aged 30 to 75, research has shown that cat owners are less likely to die from heart attack or other cardiovascular disease.
Of course, other risk factors should be taken into account, such as age, gender, race, blood pressure, and eating and nicotine consumption habits. Srufians say that people who have never had a cat suffer about 40% higher risk of heart disease.
